John, it's been a while, man, since you've been on the show.

What's been something you've been thinking about? What's rummaging in your head related to this

offseason? What's the thing that you can't quit? I think that I'm thinking a lot about something

that will tie into everything else we're discussing today, which is just the overall stature,

I think maybe primarily the financial stature of the point guard or just kind of even like

the combo guard in the NBA, in the very tight financial landscape that everybody's feeling

these days. The guard seems to be getting squeezed the most.

And I kind of wrote about this for the site this week with, you know, Bruce Brown taking

$3 million after he took $40 million.

And, you know, just a lot of guards getting squeezed.

Like how cheap is Gary Trent even after he had an unbelievable playoffs, right?

So it's not quite, like I said to you before, it's not quite on the level of the running back in the NFL where there's straight up only two who are going to get really paid at this point and every other

NFL team is going to fill the position with with somebody on a rookie contract right

there's there's more important and well-paid point cards than that in the NBA but we if

things continue in this current trajectory we might see something closer like the running back in the NFL at the

end of the day you watch summer league and you see it there's a lot of guards there's just a lot of
