A much needed win for L.A. wasn't always pretty, but you know what?

This Lakers team, when they can keep games close, win, they don't always keep games close, but when they do,

they have a pretty good track record in the fourth quarter. In fact, their only losses this

season have come by double digits in blowout games. When they are able to keep games close,

they tend to find ways to get the win. And that's what they did tonight in this one. They won

the fourth quarter, 32 to 27 to ultimately take the win. And that's what they did tonight in this one. They won the fourth quarter,

32 to 27 to ultimately take the seven point victory over the Memphis.

Is Memphis a great team? No, but they're a team that will really give you a game on any given night, especially if you don't show up ready to play. If you don't compete at a high level,

and the Lakers were able to do enough to get this done. So was this a perfect performance by the Lakers? Does this great bounce back while the Lakers really found something? No. But an important win? Yeah, important. They need to stack as many wins as they possibly can. Right now they've been mired in a very difficult stretch of their season. And any win is going to be a good win for them.

So again, not a perfect performance, but an important victory for the Lakers.

And I did like that they were able to come up big with the crunch time plays when they needed them and get the job done.
