What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. And today we do the first of what will probably be a couple of trade pods after the dealo for Dore and Finney Smith trade. And so this will be probably formatted a little bit differently than

the last trio of pods that we did prior to that trade in which we tried to evaluate the broader

trade market. I'd encourage you to take a listen to that, but this is going to be updated kind of

with the Lakers' current circumstances. And D, I actually want to start with what's going on with

the Warriors, because I think that

there's a certain amount of applicability.

Recently, there were comments from Steph that the way I took them at least, I'd love to hear

your interpretation, was there is no trade out there on the horizon that could save us, and

therefore it would be dumb to cash in the future of this franchise in order to kind of go after something when it's not there.

And Steph later clarified, don't get me wrong, I'm not content being on an average team or anything like that.

But a lot of that rationale can be applied to the Lakers D.

And rightfully so, to a degree, right? And so I wanted to talk
