Hello, Lakers Nation. Welcome in the Lakers Nation live. I am Trevor Lane. The Lakers come up short.

Once again against the Denver Nuggets. Stop me. If you've heard this one before, but the Lakers

fall to pieces late in the game against Denver. Close game. They're most of the way. The Lakers

had a lead at one point. Denver chipped away.

And then when it came time to execute down the stretch, the Lakers could not figure out life.

And Denver cruised to a pretty easy execution in the final few minutes.

Rough, rough way to lose a game that you absolutely needed to win to keep pace in a very

difficult Western conference that is simply not losing games. You look around the West and what's

happening, all the teams of Lakers need to lose. They are winning. So despite the fact that the

Lakers have been playing some pretty good basketball, they badly needed to snap a seven game

losing streak to Denver and this one,

and they simply did not get the job done.

You know what's funny, folks, is I was talking about this over on playback, was talking

about this on the YouTube channel here.

I said, really what you need against Denver, if you're the Lakers, what you have to have,

you need a six, maybe a seven point cushion in the

final three minutes or so in order to get it done because Denver's execution is just too

good. They just, they find ways to score. That may not have even been enough. The final eight

possessions that the Nuggets had, got points, either and ones or buckets.

They scored eight straight possessions.

To close out the game from the 430 mark on, Denver's offense was perfect.

They did not miss.
