0:38.0	The Secret Recording of their conversation exposed Nuri,
0:41.5	making racist and demeaning comments about black political power,
0:45.0	indigenous people, and a councilman's child.
0:51.0	When the tapes were leaked to the public a year later,
0:53.0	protests erupted across the city.
0:58.0	Bye, bye, Nuri!
1:04.0	Racism is racism,
1:05.0	whether it's coming from a guy in a red MAGA hat,
1:08.0	or from the president of the L.A.C.D. council, it is unacceptable.
1:11.0	And Nuri resigned.
1:14.0	Today, we're going to press Nuri about the specific racist
1:18.0	and hurtful things she said on the tapes.
