And we want to dedicate this story to Lyia's best friend, Arna.

Hi, my name is Lyia.

I am five years old and I live in Texas and I want a story about a nice

gold and a treasure box with lots of gold and a mean flover.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, a big girl named Lya and her best friend Arna went out for a walk and to treat themselves to a lemonade.

The afternoon sun was blazing in Georgetown, Texas, making the sidewalks appear to ripple with heat.

Lya adjusted her wide-brimmed straw hat and glanced sideways at Arna, who was sipping the last of her lemonade through a bright yellow straw.

They ambled at a leisurely pace through the town's quaint center, where wooden storefronts

lined a main street that seemed frozen in a simpler time, all rustic facades and covered porches.

The girls loved to walk through this older part of the city and imagined that they were living

in the mid-1800s when Georgetown was

founded. As they passed the general store with its creaky wooden signs swinging lazily above the

entrance, Lyia and Arna admired the eclectic homes lining the street. Each house seemed to tell

its own story, a charming Victorian with a wraparound porch

adorned and delicate gingerbread trim stood next to a quaint craftsman bungalow, its deep front porch

framed by tapered columns. Further down the street, a cheerful yellow cottage with bright blue shutters peaked out from behind a garden brimming with wildflowers.
