Summary

This week, Kate goes back to the beginning. Back to where (the earth, the stars, the sun all aligned, yes) but also back to the beginning of her fascination with southern California beach culture, thanks to 2004's groundbreaking reality show, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. Due to Kristin & Stephen's podcast, the show is experiencing somewhat of a renaissance, and in case you’re adding this to your holiday binge watch schedule, Kate wanted to also revisit the days of side bangs, black and white party group hangs, promposals, and jean skirt/Ugg combos now that this footage is available at our disposal on Netflix. After reminiscing about some of her takeaways upon rewatching episodes, Kate interviews former cast member that was labeled as Stephen's (but more appropriately was America's) "wingman" Dieter Schmitz to talk about seasons 1 & 2.
