| 1:24.2 | Supervisors yesterday voted nine to nothing, that five to nothing, excuse me, that these landfills can receive truckloads after truckloads and truckloads of toxic waste from all the burned out homes in Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu. |
| 1:45.0 | They gave these landfills a waiver, because normally, according to the environmental rules, |
| 1:51.0 | these landfills are not supposed to accept the toxic waste. |
| 1:55.0 | But for the next six months, Calabasas will get the waste. |
| 2:01.6 | Lancaster and Sunshine Canyon in the Granada Hills area, get four months of a waiver, and they'll extend the time. |
| 2:08.7 | And they think it's the right thing to do. |
| 2:11.1 | People are really, really upset because God knows what kind of toxic materials are going to be rotting away and leaking into the soil and the groundwater and in the atmosphere. |
