We're here to talk about the life of a key but often misunderstood

Tudor figure, Lady Jane Grey. So to kick us off, when was Lady Jane Grey born and what kind of

world was she born into? Well, that's sort of the million dollar question, actually, when was she born?

Because for such a well-known figure, we don't actually know exactly when she was

born. There have been various dates purported. We now know that the traditional date of birth given

for her, which is October 1537, is almost certainly false. And the likelihood is that she was born sometime in either the latter part of 1536

or the first part of 1537.
