one of the most candid and unflinching voices of her generation.

Former Lady in Waiting to Princess Margaret,

bestselling author,

whose memoir captivated readers worldwide, and the woman who has showed us all that it's never too late to tell your story. Born at Holcomb Hall in Norfolk, Lady Anne has lived an extraordinary

life that most of us can barely imagine, from being made of honour at Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1553,

to spending over 30 years as lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret. She was also a key figure in the early

days of Mystique, turning an empty Caribbean island into one of the 20th century's most exclusive and

iconic destinations with our previous

husband, Colin Tennant. But beyond the glamour and rural service of aristocratic life,

Lady Anne's story is one of remarkable resilience. She's navigated inheritance battles,

family tragedies and a complex marriage, all the while maintaining her characteristic grace and

humour. In her 80s, she put pen to paper and shared with the world in her memoir, Lady and Waiting,

which many of you will remember and we read together at the Heritage Explore Book Club. Her latest book

is titled Man as a Mischief, an ATA said of a Life well-lived.

And Lady Anne is anyone, sorry, and Lady Anne, if anyone, has earned the right to teach us all about living well.
