The So, So you're at O.T. today. What did you make of United's performance and maybe some of the new boys?

Well, I thought it was okay.

I think that, let's start with the positives.

In an unconventional movie, I'm going to start with the positives. I thought

that we were extremely well organized defensively for 80 minutes of that game. I thought that

Mateo Darmian was superb and I think that Schneiderlin he made a couple of small mistakes but he did a lot of really good work and

his cover when Daily Blint went upfield just the whole defensive unit looked really well organized to me.

And that's a huge leap forward from this time last season of course.

Yeah, yeah and I agree with that. I thought United three best players were Smalling and Darmian and Shaw and I suppose

they might say something a little bit it might say a little bit about the game as well

that the three United best players were defenders but I thought you're right as a unit it worked

Blint a couple of early nervous moments and Carrie Kane sat on him from five seconds into the game

Which I said on the pod last week it's

really obvious tactic but actually he did all right blint and spurs were unable to

get the ball up to cane and I rather thought they'd go a bit more direct

and they didn't do that it's not Pochitino's way I guess, but that would have had some effect, I would think.

So he grew into the game, the other three excellent throughout.

Schneider in, yeah, defensively, he did really well,

a whole bunch of tackles and interceptions,

so his numbers are really good.

Just a little bit hesitant on the ball.

And I suppose that could be said for a lot of United
