So I got an email, see if I can find it here,

from a woman who does the hiring for a company

in a commercial real estate.

She said, we were never shut down during COVID.

We were part of a lawsuit for forcing businesses

to close down illegally.

We helped our tenants stay open during all of this time.

And she's talking about employees

and people who say they can't find work.

She said, they show up to interviews

like they're going to the club

or they don't show up at all.

They have unrealistic expectations

of what it is like to work, to really work,

and to be a responsible professional.

I was raised by a single mom who gave birth to me at 16

and I worked.

My mom started her own business.

She's extremely successful to this day.

She could have handed all my desires to me,

but she did not.
