It's August 22nd, 2018.

Just over a year and a month since Nanette Crentil was discovered in the ashes of her burned out home.

A year and a month since an autopsy revealed, she'd actually died of a gunshot wound to the back of her head.

And a year and a month without any answers, without any suspects.

Nanette's sister Wendy Watson is moved out of the area and now lives in South Carolina.

But she remembers those months and the lack of news like it was yesterday.

You know, they never called us to meet with us. They never called to set up, you know, an investigation with us or to interview us or to talk about Nan and talk about, you know, her background and talk about our life and to rule with that.

None of us ever got ruled out of the suspect.

In fact, over those 13 months, Nanette's family has watched the case go from one detective to another.

And still, they've been left asking the same questions over and over.

Why was the scene of her murder released the next day, then re-secured days later?

Why weren't more neighbors questioned in the days after the fire?

Why was her husband the fire chief, Steve Crentil,

allowed to roam the property freely for days after the fire?

And those are just some of their questions.

They'd also been asking to see the video that investigators believed was Nanette on the morning of the fire.

We have been begging to see the video because when we kept calling and all of us kept calling and I kept calling and harassing them about this video, that because to their not, what they were trying to tell us was that Steve was at work when the fire started and that Nan was at McDonald's the morning up and that they could clearly see that it was Nan.

So, I want to see that video. They held on to that video for a year and a half.

So, on this August day in 2018, investigators finally set up a meeting with Nanette's family to talk about the investigation, what they know and what they don't know.
