Incredible sort of brass neck, I think, is probably the best way to describe Rachel Reeves yesterday.

I couldn't make head and or tail of the figures, you know, looking at the analysis this morning in the newspapers.

Everybody's got a different number for exactly how much money she's actually planning to spend.

You know, is it 300 billion? Is it 500 billion? Is it $500 billion? Is it $4 trillion?

I mean, you're a businessman. What do you make of it?

Well, it's funny because anytime a reform representative talks about

how we want to cut taxes on working people, you get this enormous, angry response from the

mainstream media demanding to know, how are you going to fund that? And Labor's answer to this

is always, spank it up, put it on the credit card, right?

Just whack all of this spending on the credit card.

Originally, she said she was going to be 87 billion a year.

That's now going to be north of 150 billion a year.

As you've said, the interest costs alone for this country are 100 billion years.

I do want to caveat this, though, and be really clear.

Actually, the majority of that is the result of the drunken sailors in the Tory party. They were the ones

who tripled the national debt in their 14 years. So she's promising, like many chancellors

before her inside the uni party, she's promising everybody a larger slice of pie. The NHS gets more

pie. The defence department gets more pie.
