So here we are then. It's the start of another week and everything in the garden would appear, on the face of it at least, to be rosy.

Boris Johnson has put Labour to the sword.

Sir Kirstama has reshuffled the shadow cabinet but nobody really cares, apart from all the people that he's fired.

And apparently we can prepare to hug someone in seven days' time.

Really? Is that the best of it?

This weekend was particularly schizophrenic,

while motorists on Britain's roads were still being told in huge signs on every

single gantry that you drive past to minimize travel, right?

There were 73,000 people crammed into the AT&T stadium in Texas to watch Saul

Canelo Alvarez beat up Britain's Billy Joe Sornis in eight rounds of a boxing match,

and as football stadiums remained empty here, there were thousands of people queuing up at Heathrow

waiting to get back into the country. I tweeted out a picture a little bit early on.
