Zara, thank you so much for coming on the show. Thank you for having me. I'm really excited. I'm very excited, and it couldn't have happened at a better time because it just so happens that you have a bit of time off Parliament at the moment for some reason that we'll come on to in a bit. What are you planning to do with it over the next few days? Just, you know, see what happens. Go with the flow. I'm told I can go back on Saturday. So I might just go to check my pass passwords. But until then, I've got a bit of spare time.

Another day, another opportunity for Labour politicians to defend what looks like out-of-control cronyism in the party, and all of it emanating, it appears, from number 10 Downing Street.

Yesterday, Sacked Foreign Office Chief, Olly Robbins, testified before the Home Affairs Select

Committee that his department was under enormous pressure from the Office of Prime Minister

Kirstama

to appoint two now disgraced peers, Peter Mandelson and Matthew Doyle, two diplomatic roles.

Peter Mandelson is, of course, the former Labour spin doctor, MP and even minister,

who despite being twice sacked from government and with known links to notorious paedophile

and sex trafficker, Jeffrey Jeffrey Epstein was appointed as ambassador

to the US in 2024. It later emerged that prior to that appointment, Stama had known he'd

maintained contact with Epstein even after the financier had been convicted on child sex charges.

And of course, we now know the appointment went ahead despite Mandelson failing his security vetting.
