the past for this episode. I felt like the flashbacks here with Young Snow White were really

following a hero's journey formula. Oh, that's really interesting. Yeah, I normally when I think

about the hero's journey, I always kind of think about it for Emma Swan, but I'm interested

to hear what you have to say about Snow. Yeah, the hero's journey, or are also called monomyth,

and Jacqueline knows a lot more about this than I do because of its origins in Greek mythology.

But the hero's journey, in short, is basically the formula that you see used in almost every movie or story where there's some kind of hero. There are certain

variations here and there on certain points, but the basic formula is the call to adventure,

refusal of the call, supernatural aid, crossing the threshold, belly of the whale,

the road of trials, the meeting with the goddess, woman as tempteress,
