Welcome to the athletic football show.

0:18.9

I'm Robert Mays.

0:20.0

Joining me tonight. It's my good buddy,

0:21.8

Nate Tyson. Nate, how are you? Doing great. I texted this morning. I think we're about 15 minutes

0:26.9

into the morning games. And I just go, there's too many games. I felt that week one overwhelming feeling

0:34.0

that I just wanted to watch every game at once and take notes and and just

0:38.5

like have thoughts and tweets and but we settled in. I think all of us settled in and we

0:43.4

focus on a lot of good football today. Just a really enjoyable week. I mean, think that across

0:49.2

the board, I mean, the earliest slate was full of stuff. It was hard to keep track of everything

0:52.6

that was going on. There was one stretch where it was like, I can't even remember all the things that happened in like a 10 second period. It was in my fantasy league like four games swung in an instant. I was like, oh man, there's a lot happening right now. And then that afternoon slate, which we'll get to, just ton of interesting, noteworthy performances from

1:11.8

guys that we haven't seen a lot or we haven't seen at all to a certain degree, which I

1:16.0

definitely am excited to talk about.

1:18.0

Before we do any of that, though, I want to talk about the best team in the NFL.

1:23.6

And that's a conversation that's probably changed a few different times over the last month.

1:29.4

And I'm as guilty of this as anyone. I love whatever's new and kind of hemming and hoeing

1:35.4

over who's really the best team and who's falling, who's rising, all of that stuff. I trust me,

1:41.0

I get enamored with all the things that we've never seen before and all the teams we've never seen before. And the reason I bring this up is that I think a couple weeks ago, people probably would have said the most complete team in the league was the Bucks. They're currently number one in the DVOA. They're a really good offensive team, a really good

2:01.0

defensive team. They're balanced, all that stuff. And they come out and get absolutely blown out

2:07.4

tonight by the New Orleans Saints. Not a lot of outcomes when this game could shock me because

2:12.1

I think that anything can happen when you're playing two teams that familiar with one other,

2:15.6

everything else. This was shocking to me.
