understanding of god's word and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. I'm not sure, but I kind of think my theology might be changing a bit

when it comes to spiritual warfare. I've referenced and just talked about Tozer's work. I've

really loved his books on pursuing God, and he had this one that released, I can't remember

back in the 90s, late 80s,

I talked back to the devil.

And it really impacted how I stand my ground.

One of the things he says is you've got to quit letting that enemy kick you around like a football.

I still believe that and agree with that.

But I'm starting to wonder about just strategy.

You know, a friend recently sent me some pages out of a book on warfare that suggests we

shouldn't address the devil directly.

We're to resist him, but not to talk with him.

And he says, you know, in doing so, and being kind of reckless and the way we talk to the

enemy, we may end up with all kinds of collateral damage and experience unnecessary battles,

like we're picking a fight with the devil. I've never been that arrogant. I'll just tell you that right now.

I have a healthy respect for the wiles of the enemy, but I do think at times we give him too much credit,

and other times we're not paying enough attention to the fact that he's trying to steal from us.

So what are your thoughts? I would just love to know.
