Kyle is a musician and pro mountain athlete for Black Diamond in Las Portiva based in Boulder,

Colorado.

of running or the formal racing.

Kyle is a true mountain athlete.

He splits his time between climbing, running, and the mountain

bike, so his influences are more varied. Kyle shares interesting perspectives on Boulder,

the FKT scene, the intersection of music and movement, we talk philosophy, we go back and forth

on some artistic wish lists for the sport, and way more. It all rolled into one

big conversation about the cultural direction of our sport that in my opinion was quite fresh.

Excited to chat. I'd be shocked if people weren't already familiar with you, but in case they aren't, maybe

give us a little bit of your background. So like, what's your story? How'd you get into

mountain sports? And where are you based now? Yeah, sure. So my name's Kyle Richardson. I'm 26. I live in

Boulder, Colorado. I originally came out to Boulder to go to
