Hey, good morning. It's Patricia Murphy. It's Tuesday. This is Seattle now. Community radio

station KVRU is under new management, but the mission is the same. Since its inception

in 2014, it's focused on radio for and by the South Seattle community. And now Crystal

Fincher and Monisha Herald are leading it into the future. We'll visit them at their new station

in a minute, but first, let's get you caught up. A new low barrier shelter

opens today in the Pioneer Square neighborhood. The Star Center has room for up to 85 people

experiencing chronic homelessness. It will also offer on-site treatment for mental health and substance use disorder.

The downtown emergency service center, which runs the new facility, says it's an entry point for

people in crisis to get immediate help. Residents will be able to stay for up to three months.

Hey now, today is the deadline for filing your taxes. If you need some last minute help getting your forms completed,

you can stop by the Seattle Public Library.

Both the downtown and South Park branches offer in-person tax help.

It's available through Saturday at both locations.

You can also get help at several King County Library branches

throughout the region, also through Saturday.
