Well, here we are.

We are past Labor Day now, and there used to be something that I would hear growing up

never really applied it but it was something about never wearing white after

Labor Day. You're like well okay well why is? You know, Virginia gave a bit of an explanation as to, well, it's just, you know, white maybe is a summary color and it seems to work and especially in South Florida, it doesn't work out because white's a great color to wear year round when

you're living in South Florida totally but a lot of times these little things

that you hear and can't explain actually started somewhere and for good reason. Now part of what you said is right

Virginia about it being a summary color but there was something about it.

Apparently back in what they called the Gilded Age, which was the late

1870s to the early 1900s, they had this thing and it apparently was something

that they believed in in society, never wearing white after Labor Day.

And the reason why was because of dirt.
