KVJ cuts. So what happened in your day that would never ever happen today?

I decided to ask the question after I saw a meme saying that Gen X is the toughest generation.

And then it was just one screenshot after another of the way that we live, the games that we played,

how we were just running like maniacs throughout the neighborhood, pitch black, all kinds of murderers

out there.

Parents didn't care.

You make the comment about lawn darts,

and I think some people think that's a joke.

That was a real toy they were selling the kids.

We had it.

And it was a metallic spiked dart and the wings of it were plastic and you would hold

the stick at the end and you would toss the metallic end and you try to land it in a hoop.

But of course the game all kids played,

we would get around a group of us three or four,

we'd have someone throw it straight up in the air

and then you'd all take off running to see if it'd come down and hit any of you in the head.

It was a spear.

I get the excitement element.

Now I look at that.

It easily could have killed.

Not just maimed, it could have killed a child.
