Well, for normal or nope here today, there's a bit of a debate that is going on and what is the normal way to do it?

Do you introduce yourself at the beginning of a phone call or when you meet somebody?

Here is a little dialogue from a social media video explaining what they're talking about.

When I am calling a restaurant or anywhere, I say,

Hi, my name's Bronte.

I'm just wondering if you have a table for two tonight.

No, because you're going to go to Javy,

high five, and you'll see if they have a Cameron stock,

you're saying, hi, my name is Bronte.

Do you have a Cameron stock?

Yeah, it's just common courtesy.

Like it's not, not actually very polite, but I think no one else does it.

But this is it read or is it common courtesy?

Okay, do you introduce yourself if you're calling up a restaurant to get reservations?

You'd be like, hey, my name is Kevin and I'm calling to get a table for four or do

it just be going, hey, could I get a table for four. When you say, hey, my name is Kevin, you sound like a moron.

I agree.

I would never do that.

To me, you don't even know if they have the table.

So the name might be irrelevant.

And they're not here to make a friend.

They're just here to book a reservation.
