Lying about your age.

It's a dumb thing to do.

I've heard of this happening before, and we got another example of a dumb, dumb sentence and email saying I've been dating a really nice woman for about three months. Things are good. She's got good qualities, caring, funny. genuinely a good person really like her. But the problem is, is when we met at the bar, I told her I was 31. I don't even know why I said. It just came out. I was a little bit drunk. Then a couple

weeks later, we're still hanging out and age randomly comes up. And she literally said,

so, wait, you said you're 31, right? And like an idiot, I didn't correct her. So she's still

going on with the whole 31 thing. In reality, I'm 41.

Oh.

I swear, I haven't lied about anything else.

It's not like I got a secret wife, no kids, so I know you guys are going to go down that path.

It's not anything like that.

I am divorced, but she knows about that.

She knows the important stuff.

How old is she? I think she is right late 20s is what he had said in another part of the email. She's like 29. I think that's why she

was trying to reconcile it because she's starting to notice. She's like, wait a minute. Okay. So you're

acting a little older. Well, it's like, yeah. Yeah, she's like, okay, so you're two years older than me? And, yeah. Two or 12? I think he's starting to show some of his boomups. You know, it's like I feel bad about this. I feel deceitful. I feel like I need to say something. But I'm just kind of curious before I do. For how many of you would this be a deal breaker? I'm out. You got to say something. I'm out because if you're going to lie about this and then continue to lie, how long does lie going to go? What? You're 40 seconds? So you would break up with him? Yeah. It's kind of a weird angle here because I think he's afraid it's going to be a breakup and he wants it to be a makeup. And he wants to know how do I repair the damage? Be honest. You've already done a lot of damage here, dude. You think it's that bad. You had a chance to repair it when she asked you sober at a different time and location to go, oh, no, no, no, no,
