Well, today is April 1st, otherwise known as April Fool's Day.

And the interesting thing about it is they really don't know where it came from.

Some believe that it was linked to the Roman festival of Hilaria.

There's also another Indian celebration that gets partial credit.

They say that it emerged during Renaissance Europe,

and the first time it really ever appeared was in a Flemish poem in 1561 about prank-filled errands.

But otherwise, they really don't know exactly how it all began.

But you're going to see a lot of it today.

People are going to be playing their own little pranks.

One person said, my favorite is I bring in an empty Dunkin' Donuts box for the office.

Oh, damn.

That's cold.

I missed it.

That is cold.

You can go a step further when they open up a bunch of ants in there.

Or vegetables.

You can really mess with it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And it is a terrible day.

If you've got really big news, one person said, yeah, 20 years ago, my mom told the whole

family she was pregnant, not realizing it was April Fool's Day.

And then so she had to do the whole big announcement the next day.
