Um, all right, this person want to know, am I the jerk for buying my elderly father a fake

Rolex?

Says my dad has always wanted a Rolex, he was just never dream to buy one for him but I've never

able to afford one it has always been my dream to buy one for him but I've

never been financially able to really do it either I got a friend who has an

amazing replica and he sold it to me for a

fraction of what a real Rolex would sell for. When I gave it to my dad, he cried. He's so proud

of that watch and I have never been happier seeing him show it off to his friends at his assisted living facility.

But my wife thinks it is wrong to deceive my father like that and to take advantage of his diminishing

mental capacities.

One guy at the facility did try to tell my dad that his watch was fake, but he wouldn't hear

of it.

He said his son would never do that.

When he told me that it was the first time I felt ashamed.
