All of these people in my life I can desert.

Okay, this person wants to know if they're a big old fat jerk here for bailing on their best friend.

Now, what they said in their email, he said, my best friend caught her fiancee cheating

and ended their relationship on Sunday. Good. I was right by her side on Sunday and I've been

comforting her for the last couple of days. I told her that we would turn the page this weekend and

we would go have a girls night and a lot of fun on

Saturday. Now, she has to work on Friday night, so Saturday was the only night that she could do it.

Well, my boss right at the end of work yesterday, just invited me to a private party on Saturday

night that is going to have two of my favorite celebrities there. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity and a chance to hang out in a social setting with my boss,

which has not yet happened once in the four years that I've been working for her.

I simply want to push the night with my friend off by just one week.

So how big of a jerk am I if I'm not there for her while the wound is fresh?

You should offer to come over and see her during the day on Saturday.
