All of these people in my life I can desert.

I'm feeling all pissed off and hurt.

Oh, this person who want to know if they're a jerk for now, not wanting to pay for their stepdaughter's wedding.

Now, they send their email they sent to us.

I've been in my stepdaughter's life since she was

five years old. Her biological dad left when she was little to tour the country with his band.

He basically chose the rock and roll life over being a father. He wasn't around for birthday,

school plays, doctor visits, or any of the normal dad stuff. And for years, she barely heard from

him at all. Meanwhile, I stepped in and tried of the normal dad stuff, and for years she barely heard from him at all.

Meanwhile, I stepped in and tried to be the dad that she didn't have. I helped her raise her,

and I paid for school activities. I helped with homework, taught her out of drive. And I was there

for every single milestone. I never treated her like she was just a stepchild. To me, she's my daughter. Then her biological dad

eventually pops back into her life years later after the band fell apart. But even then, he's been

very inconsistent. Most of the time, he only reaches out when he needs money or something from her.

It's always been frustrating. He hits her up for money? Yep. money yep oh no but i've tried to stay supported

because i know that's still her dad now that she's getting married and my wife and i have offered

to pay for most of the wedding i was honored and excited to be such a big part of a moment in her life

because i've been there for all the others but then she she tells me that she says, well, thank you so

much. I appreciate all your kind gestures. I hope you don't mind if I have my biological dad walk me

down the aisle because he came to her and asked. She said she feels like she needs that moment with him
