All of these people in my life acting deserve.

I'm feeling all pissed off and hurt.

I need to know if I am the jerk.

Oh, am I the jerk?

Is this person a jerk for not giving somebody a good reference in their email they said a

past coworker that really didn't care for me put me down as a job reference and their new potential employer winds up

calling me and asking me how they were as an employee and somebody that I worked with.

I said well I'm you know I wasn't their employer, but as a coworker they were

okay and they wanted me to list out all their attributes and their detractions. Well apparently I was a little too honest

because this person wound up not getting the job and then they go on their

social media platform and trash me and they said because of me they almost wound up homeless and then I've

ruined their life. They tagged me in this post too so everybody's going off on me

so I felt compelled to respond. All I said was that I gave an honest review.

I also wrote how this person had even asked me in advance if I would be their reference which is the

courteous thing to do, right?

Yes.

A lot of terrible things were said about me by other people who don't even know me on this thread.

You ask any of them, and I am the biggest jerk ever.

They said that you should always just help out a friend who is in need.

But I'd argue that this person wasn't really a good friend and not somebody that I felt I owed a favor to. Not to mention, it is my credibility on the line when they don't perform

like I said they would in their new position. So is there any way I'm a jerk
