Okay, well, how would you handle this? This person wants to know if they're the jerk for asking their friend to help pay for a purse that her toddler destroyed.

Says, I had a friend over and to my surprise they brought their toddler.

My friend had mentioned that she was getting a sitter since we were going to watch some

TV and drink some wine.

Well my friend gives her son an iPad and he

locks right in on it.

At some point we didn't see her kid get up.

He then went over to my designer purse,

found a sharpie in it that I had inside and started drawing all over the white

leather. The purse is now ruined. My friend did apologize profusely and I

appreciate that but this purse cost me $2,500 and I do not have the money to replace it.

I asked if she would chip in half to replace it. She lost it on me. She told me it was my fault to have my purse open with a

sharpie in it when I knew that she was coming over and I reminded her, look you said you you're going to be going to babysitter.

I didn't think I was, you have to kid proof my house.

Now she thinks it was very rude for me to even ask, am I the jerk?

The mom's wrong. You got to watch your kid if it's your kid and
