Summary

It's been a long and windy road getting to the facts of how a pocketknife wound up on the 38 yard line of the KU bench Saturday night in Lubbock and it has ended horribly for Lance Leipold and his staff. According to reports, a KU coach or staffer placed the knife in plain site to draw a penalty on Texas Tech and then told his head coach that it came from the stands and he got hit. This is a total black eye for college football as both programs get fined. Chiefs tackle Josh Simmons may be out for quite awhile and the Chiefs can't comment. This has to be a legal, privacy issue and I'll tell you what I think is the reason for his absence.
