I am live here at the KS Barn Grill where it is a rowdy house of people celebrating the

big win against Texas A&M while also watching the NFL playoffs that have begun.

The Kats get a massive victory at home of 8.73, 65 beating Texas A&M in a hard, hard

fought battle.

We'll open up the phones here in just a minute.

I think this is a hugely important game for Kentucky who I thought played about as well.

I think played as tough as they played all year but also offensively played about as well

as they played.

They may say, well Matt, they missed a lot of shots and that's unfortunate but they

had a ton of open looks and I thought offensively they were in the best offense they've run

all year and they ran in offense that can be a team that can really make noise because

when you look the way they did, really the whole game but especially in the second half

where you get guys open shots, you clear out space and you get to the basket, you have

a chance against anybody and most games they're going to make more open threes than they

did tonight and if that happens I think the team can be very good.

It was a really great performance by two guys particularly Jacob Toppinin and Tony O'Reaves.

Jacob Toppin was excellent throughout the game, played really good defense, was in the

exact right place to get shooters.

He made some great passes, getting the ball in the middle of sometimes they win zone or

even man finding the right guy to take the shots didn't always make him but he's made

the right pass and I thought he was excellent.
