I am Matt Jones, Kentucky with a massive victory in the Citrus Bowl over Iowa.

This is a 20-17 and one of the more exciting UK wins in a long, long time.

This is going to be a celebratory show.

We are here at KS Bar, this place was insane during the game, absolutely wild.

It's kind of cleared out now as folks probably go home to sleep after that victory.

A win. Kentucky gets up 13-3, absolutely dominates the first half and looks like it's going to be just a complete runaway.

Then in the second half things collapse, injuries mount up, especially on defense.

It ends up being 17-13 and it looks like all is lost.

Two big, third and one and then fourth and one stops.

On two consecutive drives leads to Kentucky getting the ball back and a drive for the ages.

That included a pass from Will Levis to Wondell.

That will be one of those plays we all remember for a long, long time.

And then Chris Rodriguez with a tough six yard run to get the touchdown and then on defense, deandre square with an interception.

There are so many different things that you can talk about in this game.

Here's where I want to focus because I think this win is in many ways a testament to the cold.

A testament to the culture of UK football that Mark Stoops has created.

And what I mean by that is if you were online before the game, the big talk around the country was Kirk Herbstreet and Desmond Howard did a little rant in which they basically said,

you know what, nobody cares about bowl games except for the playoff, nobody cares about these players that are selfish, these players are this. They basically did Oldman, Yellen at the Cloud post-cumence.

But at the core of it was that essentially all these guys are out for themselves and they don't care about their team and bowl games.

And I thought it was ridiculous when they said it. But to the extent it had any truth to it, it doesn't apply to Kentucky.
