| 0:49.8 | Lead with integrity and create a lasting legacy. I'm Kelly Roach, former NFL cheerleader and Fortune 500 executive turned eight figure entrepreneur. Let's get started. |
| 1:03.8 | Welcome back and thanks so much for tuning in in today's episode. We are talking about how to redefine your work day, your way. |
| 1:12.8 | One of the biggest things that I see in the entrepreneurial space is that as we emerge as CEOs of our company, we many times are still operating within the confines and within the old paradigms that perhaps were some of the biggest reasons why we wanted to break out on our own to begin with. |
| 1:33.8 | One of those being following a traditional work day that may or may not actually be supportive of your highest and best genius work. |
| 1:44.8 | I want to remind you today that as the CEO of your business and your life that you are in complete and total charge of defining what your work hours are, where you work, how you work, |
| 2:01.8 | whether you're interacting with people every day or only one or two days a week, whether you're on social media once a week, once a month, every day, every hour, whether you have your kids with you or not, there are hundreds of choices that you can make about designing your work day your way. |
| 2:22.8 | But to assume that old paradigms carried over into a new structure are serving you at the highest level is a very bad assumption. |
| 2:34.8 | One of the things I'll point out just in general that I recognize that was a catalyst for massive transformation in my life was that back three, five years ago, maybe even more, I began to track my steps and I realized that based on the traditional form of the way that we work, I was getting less than 3,000 steps a day. |
| 3:01.8 | Now, if you think about the amount of just toxicity and stress and strain that is built up in your body when you are not getting your 10,000 steps a day, when you are not getting that exercise throughout the day, I'm not talking about your three workouts a week. |
| 3:19.8 | I am literally talking about those 10,000 steps that you need just to sustain and maintain health, not to lose weight, not to gain tone. |
| 3:29.8 | That comes from the actual workouts that you do. But I'm talking about just the basic movement that our bodies require to get the stress out, to bring the endorphins in, to sustain good health. |
| 3:46.8 | And so I began doing walk-in talk, phone conversations, walk-in talk, one-on-ones. I would do as many calls as humanly possible while exercising because I was committed to making sure that I was getting that minimum amount of physical activity in each week. |
| 4:08.8 | The next evolution of that for me was when I really sat down and went deep into what is my perfect day. |
| 4:18.8 | If we're going to be the CEO of our business and our lives and we want to create our dream life, we have to be really, really clear on what our dream day looks like because our dream life is just a string of our dream days combined. |
| 4:32.8 | So what I want to challenge you to do as you're listening here today is I literally want you to grab a piece of paper and I want you to write this out for yourself. |
| 4:44.8 | What is your dream day? |
| 4:48.8 | And I want you to answer questions like, what time do you wake up? Do you wake up naturally or do you wake up with an alarm? |
