In today's episode, we are talking about the dark side of success that all CEOs face on their rise to the top.

If there's one thing that I wish my mentors and the people that I was learning from on the way to building my 8 figure company would have shared with me,

it's that there are a massive amount of things that are going to come up that you can't prevent, that you can't change,

that you can only decide how you're going to respond to on your way to the top.

And I wanted to record this episode today because I want you, the CEO, who's probably beginning to experience some of these things to know that you're not alone.

And I really mean that from the bottom of my heart, you are not alone.

I think that many CEOs, after they have initial success and they achieve a baseline level of team and market recognition and success in revenue and profits,

they begin to experience a series of very sad and very deeply hurtful things.

And I think that many times for CEOs, because their mentors don't openly and honestly warn them about these things that are going to come up along their journey,

they feel that it's the weight of the world and it does feel like the weight of the world when these things are happening.

And I think a lot of times you feel completely alone.

You feel like your whole livelihood is being threatened. You feel like you are bearing the weight of the world on your shoulders.

You feel like you have nowhere to turn. You feel like you have no one to talk to because no one understands what you're going through.

And you feel very shameful because you feel that you should be having success. You should be making it look easy.

You should be happy and grateful and everyone that sees you online interprets everything that they know about you to say, she has it easy.

He's had success, right? He doesn't need my money. I don't need to pay my bill or maybe an employee came in during a time where your company was absolutely soaring.

And then you went through a tougher period and you needed that person to really step up and that person that you were counting on and trusted in and had invested so much and didn't show up for you even though you had shown up for them.
