The Department of Homeland Security partially shut down

after midnight last night or early today, with Democrats and Republicans unable to figure out

how to pass a $45 billion spending package that funds agencies like ICE and Border Patrol while at the same time protecting our civil

liberties. On Thursday, the Senate failed to pass the funding bill. On Friday, members of Congress

flew home from what looks to be a week-long recess. More on that later, the polling isn't good for Trump,

especially his border policy,

with Americans saying they're more concerned about living in a police state

than they are the immigration crisis that Trump keeps lying about.

Border crossings are the lowest they've been since the

1970s, and he had nothing to do with that. Every study shows that immigration surges have nothing to

do with border enforcement. Immigration surges are controlled by external factors in Central and South America,

like political, economic, or climate catastrophes that force people to flee their country.

Border crossing surged during the Biden administration and then plummeted near the end of his presidency,

and it had nothing to do with hiring or firing ICE agents.

It had to do with the climate and the political and economic climate of central and

South American country.

Some of my listeners say they don't pay attention to polls.

They say polls are meaningless.

And I say, I'm sorry you don't know what you're talking about.
