So this is the first of four podcasts I recorded while I was on a Ramdas retreat.

The reason I'm doing it on Friday is I know not everybody that listens to the podcast is into the kind of whatever whatever this is.

I think it's very entertaining. It's not just talking about theory or meditation the whole time.

We're telling a very interesting story.

And I did want to tell a little bit about that story.

Is this idea I think people know that Richard Albert and Timothy Leary were professors at Harvard.

Then they took acid. There's a story there's a movie about this actually called dying to know, which Zach Leary was in its out now.

It's wonderful. It's a great thing to watch if you're curious about who these people are.

But this is my version of the story. Richard Albert takes acid kind of wakes up.

He was this kind of successful, a little bit square guy.

You know, living it up though. He has his own plane. He's got lots of sex. He's got lots of money. He's got lots of power.

Takes acid realizes that there's another dimension as what he would say. Another side to reality and really kind of opens them up to that.

But you know, you take acid and you trip for, you know, 10 hours or whatever and it feels wonderful.

You know, you feel the divine, I've never done it, but you feel divine and united and similar to mushrooms which I have done.

I will say that that's definitely true. But then you get kicked out of the party.

So frustrated with this, like a lot of people in the 60s and early 70s, Ram Das goes to India to any brings acid with them to figure out what is this stuff.

What is this state? What is it mean to be conscious and what does it mean to have your consciousness altered the way you perceive the world?
