It's Thursday, February 19th.

And as you know, the Corey Richens trial begins on Monday with opening statements.

I'll be running that stream live every day and recapping

the day's best testimony in an hour or less. On the days where I'm home, I'll be doing two

episodes, a morning recap and then an afternoon recap. I plan to be out in Utah for the second

week of trial, so I'll do a full one, and it may not get out until later

in the evening, just because I tend to get home a little later. Then it takes a while to get my

notes ready, and gosh knows how the Wi-Fi will be where I'm at. But I do plan to do some

live streams during lunch to answer your questions about what's happening in the courtroom when you

can't see things, and also some

YouTube shorts. But for today, we're going to go over some of these last-minute motions that were

outstanding that the judge has ruled on. First up is the Walk the Dog Letter that was seized from her

jail cell. And this was about the admissibility of the first three pages of that letter.

The judge ruled the redacted first three pages are admissible, but only with limitations and proper foundation being laid at trial.

The judge said it is relevant to Corey's internal thoughts and possible consciousness of guilt, but there are concerns about unfair prejudice and that must be controlled.

The second issue is the Orange Notebook or what they refer to as journal entries. These are five pages written on March 3rd and 4th describing what Corey and Eric were doing the night he died.

The judge ruled they can be admitted with foundation. He said the

statements are relevant and comparable to other statements made by Corey and it's not hearsay

if it's written by her. The next issue is the notes found in Corey's kitchen. These are notes that
