We have a major update in the Corey Richens case.

The Utah Children's book author has been convicted of murdering her husband, Eric Richens.

Prosecutors say she poisoned him with a lethal dose of fentanyl in 2022,

allegedly driven by financial troubles and the promise of a multi-million dollar payout.

What made this case especially chilling after his death, Richens wrote a children's book

about grief, portraying herself as a grieving widow.

But at trial, jurors heard evidence of financial strain alleged prior poisoning attempts

and communications that told a very

different story. The jury deliberated just three hours before returning a guilty verdict.
