You never think you're gonna wake up and your child is missing.

Courtney Stalford was last seen at her palmire apartment on July 29, 2012, around 3am when a police officer responded to it for a disturbance with a neighbor.

Four years since then now and her presence was still very much alive and present here tonight.

Night friends and family listened to music, gathered around a bonfire and lit 25 lanterns.

Courtney is or would be 25 years old this year. Her family still hopes someone will come forward or some new evidence will turn up.

Sometimes you look back and you're like, can't believe it been four years without seeing my daughter and it seems like it's quick but at the same time every day is agonizing because you wake up knowing she's not here.

You're not gonna see her, you're not gonna be able to talk to her. Have dinner with her, you know, take her to her shoe park, you know, just do the things and everybody takes her granted.

21-year-old Courtney Stalford was last seen at her apartment in Palmire, Pennsylvania in the early morning hours of July 29, 2012.

In the hours leading up to her disappearance, she had had disagreements with neighbors and a couple out of bar.

With all this conflict going on, it has left everyone questioning those Courtney came in contact with that night.

But almost five years later, her disappearance still remains one of the region's most puzzling mysteries. This is Courtney's story.
