I think on the surface most people look at the Jake Allen deal and see that the Canadians are playing close to 15 million dollars for two goal tenders.

So I understand where confusion comes in,

but that said, I think they have 18 players signed

and 14 million dollars in cap space

and the players they have left to deal with are Victor Mete and Max Domi,

neither of which are looking at massive raises.
