Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

St. Maximin Colby wanted to win all souls to Christ and use every means of technology available. In 1922 he began to publish a magazine in Krakowv called the Night of Mary Immaculate.

By 1940 it reached a distribution of 1 million copies per month. However, in the early 1920s the production of the magazine

outgrew the monastery in Krakowv, So he built a new monastery which consisted of an entirely self-subsistent town, a printing house, and a seminary just outside of Warsaw.

He called it Neapocallana, the city of Mary.

In ten short years, this monastery became the largest in the world.

By 1939, it housed more than 700 priests,

seminarians, and brothers.

Colby even got the National Railroad to bring its line to his monastery so that he could

more quickly distribute his material.

A radio station was installed, and he planned to make movies

and even had a runway built and began training pilots.

Maxime and Colby is a model for our age.

He combined within himself a commitment to deep prayer, total belonging to Mary, along with ingenuity, an entrepreneurial

spirit, and the willingness to take risks and do whatever it took to win souls for Christ.
