I'm your host, retired NYPD, Sergeant Bill Cannon, 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

So much has happened and so quickly in the case of the Idaho four. And of course, this person you see

up on the thumbnail, Brian Coburger, justice is served, but is it really? Is it really?

And we're going to go into that tonight because the families of these victims don't believe that

justice is being served. In fact, they were

anxiously awaiting for this trial to start and for the person being charged Brian Kohlberger

with the murders of their children. Madison Mogan, Zana Connoll, Ethan Chapin, and Kaylee Consolvis.

And they wanted their day in court, and now they're going to be denied that.

And from what we understand, the family just received a letter in the mail on Monday,

telling them about the intentions of the state.

And they weren't consulted in regards to their

feelings about it. But I think you'll hear from me, a retired law enforcement officer and

retired FBI agent Bobby Chacon, that it's very risky to take a case to trial. And even though

you believe that you have insurmountable evidence,

you never know what a jury is going to do.

And a jury can go the opposite way of the evidence sometimes.

So it's the old expression, and I said it to Dr. Debbie when we're off the air,

one in the hand is worth two in the bush.

And if they got a conviction and he's never going to get out and he's going to plead guilty

to the murders of these four young children and he's going to get life without the possibility

of parole, then why would the state take the chance, roll the dice that he could beat this case, right?
