Chuck Arfine here at White Sox Spring Training and this is a podcast I frankly wasn't expecting

to do, but it just kind of happened and I turned it into one.

Monday, the White Sox are facing the L.A. Dodgers at Cannellback Ranch.

And Monday night in Los Angeles, they'll be holding the public memorial for Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna at the Staples Center.

Lucas Gialito grew up in L.A. and was basically born into the Kobe Bryant era.

And he spent last January, just a month ago, he was working out at Kobe's Mamba Sports Academy in Los Angeles.

So I went in the clubhouse to talk to Lucas for a story I was going to write about Kobe.

But when Lucas started talking about him and the impact he had on his life and how it is still very much affecting the city of Los Angeles.

And then when I listened back to the interview, I felt like you wouldn't just want to read

about what he said, but you'll really want to hear Lucas talk about it as well.

So this is me in the clubhouse, just talking to Lucas about Kobe, not realizing this

was going to be a podcast, but certainly glad it turned into one.
