And as we were talking about honoring him and applying his lessons and his knowledge and his example and inspiration,

You know, and there's so much that he did that anyone can learn from

Kobe Bryant died one year ago today.

And ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported live from the accident site, from Staples Center, and from inside the Lakers organization.

And to mark this anniversary, she sat for an extended interview with one of Kobe's closest friends, who's only grown closer to the Bryant family as they work through grief.
