Summary

Klein.Ally.Show on KROQ is more than just a "dynamic, irreverent morning radio show that mixes humor, pop culture, and unpredictable conversation with a heavy dose of realness." (but thanks for that quote anyway). Hosted by Klein, Ally, and a cast of weirdos (both on the team and from their audience), the show is known for its raw, offbeat style, offering a mix of sarcastic banter, candid interviews, and an unfiltered take on everything from culture to the chaos of everyday life. With a loyal, engaged fanbase and an addiction for pushing boundaries, the show delivers the perfect blend of humor and insight, all while keeping things fun, fresh, and sometimes a little bit illegal.

Let's not waste any time. We have a brand new episode of Klein Alley Show to share with you,

0:03.7

so let's get into it. No, Klein. First, we have to talk about San Bernardino International Airport and how they've got you covered this summer, whether you're traveling to San Francisco or Provo, Utah. What do you want? Sit in traffic on the side of the five freeway and smell that cow manure? Of course you don't. Skip the drive and fly hassle free. The San Bernardino International Airport, the only airport on the planet that we wholeheartedly recommend.

And it's convenient, you got low-cost parking five bucks a day. And speaking of hassle, here's another episode of Klein Alley Show. A rallying song. Kay Ross, we're a Klein Alley Show. Broadcasting from the heart of Los Angeles, California, something that we are proud to say on a daily basis.

Today, it seems weird only because of what has transpired over the last 48 hours continues to go on today, so much so that we felt the need to reach out to one of our much more competent reporters that works down the hall at K&X Sister Station.

Margaret Carrero is in our studio right now, making her K-Rock debut. She has been on top of the situation from the very beginning. There are tons of questions. Obviously, emotions are running very high. But could you just dumb down? I will say to you exactly what my wife said to me last night, which is, what is going on and how did this get to where we're at right now? It all kind of started on Friday, right? Because there were some ice operations throughout L.A. County. And some people came out. They had heard about it, I guess. And so they came out to try to protest that. And there was some pushback between them and some of the ice agents. There was another one on Saturday. That one was in the Paramount area, I believe.

1:29.3

And again, that led to some skirmishes between the protesters and police.

1:33.3

And then Saturday night, President Trump announced that he was going to deploy

1:38.3

2,000 National Guard members into Los Angeles.

1:42.3

They arrived early on Sunday morning.

1:45.6

Yesterday there was a big protest downtown.

1:48.4

And I will say that it started out pretty peaceful.

1:52.1

You know, there were a lot of people that showed up far more than we saw on Saturday or Friday.

1:57.0

A lot more people came out yesterday.

1:59.3

And probably by early afternoon is when things kind of started

2:02.4

to go sideways um when did the waymo cars start burning that oh that was probably that was when

2:09.1

i was on the air so that that had that had to be like after five o'clock yesterday yesterday right and i couldn't

2:13.5

believe what i was seeing i'm like wait a minute are you seeing this like there's like multiple

2:17.3

waymo cars that were tagged with graffiti, and one of them was on fire, and we could see some guy jump on top of another one, and he was trying to set it on fire. I'm like, I, I couldn't understand it. Some people thrive in chaos, and some people don't even know necessarily what they're creating the chaos for and that's where it gets you know it's it's tough because obviously this is obviously all politically very motivated right now and so people have strong opinions one way or another but i did see like you said

2:44.4

hundred it felt like hundreds of thousands of peaceful people waving proudly the mexican flag in of immigrants, their immigrant families, friends.

2:53.2

We've made no bones about that's how we feel.

2:55.5

And then now the narrative is all kind of shifted to what has become what seems like it will be a long, many days ahead of this.

3:04.6

And once the National Guard is involved, things just seem to be escalating rather quickly.
