We hope you enjoy the message. Well, in Acts chapter 9 is we're going to be hanging out tonight, and we're going to meet a guy by the name of

Saul and if you have any church background I mean that you know probably a little bit about Saul

you know that ultimately he's going to get his name changed to the apostle Paul but I kind of want to

set up the story before we dive into it so you've got this this guy, Saul, who is a religious leader, very

zealous for his religion, loves being Jewish, and feels like he is here to protect his religious

faith. And all of a sudden, there's this guy named Jesus, and he has these followers. And they're called

Followers of the Way, because Jesus would say that I am the way, the truth, and the has these followers. They're called followers of the way,

because Jesus would say that I am the way,

the truth, and the life.

And so these followers of the way,

they're starting to grow in numbers.

And, I mean, the church is exploding.

And they're kind of, in some ways,

flying in the face of the Jewish religion.

And so Saul is like, hey, my job is to put an end to that.

And so he is in this story, literally on his way,

into the city council to get paperwork that would say this,

that if he finds anyone who is a follower of Jesus,

a follower of the way, anyone who confesses to be a believer and a disciple
