| 1:06.0 | I've always been impressed by the fact that when the Old Testament speaks of intimacy and of sexual intimacy, |

| 1:20.0 | For example, the Bible might say that Abraham knew his wife and she conceived, |
| 1:26.0 | or Adam knew his wife and she conceived. |
| 1:29.0 | And we hear that expression and I wonder why isn't it? |
| 1:32.0 | Is it because the biblical writers are embarrassed to say the word that they go to euphemisms, |
| 1:37.0 | circumlocution, ways of getting around, being graphic or sexually explicit? |
| 1:42.0 | They just said, Abraham knew his wife and she conceived. |
| 1:45.0 | Well, does that mean that Abraham walked on the street and he met this lady on the street |
| 1:50.0 | and said, this is low, my name's Abraham and she said, my name's Sarah, they were introduced |
| 1:56.0 | and all of a sudden Sarah's pregnant. |
| 1:58.0 | That's not what the Bible means. |
| 2:00.0 | It's using that verb to know, to communicate the deepest level of human intimacy. |
