There was an old farmer by the name of Jones. He has often described his Christian experience.

Whenever somebody asks him, how is he doing? He says, well, I'm not making much progress,

but I'm established. People got a little bored with that, and whenever they ask him, Mr. Jones,

how is it going? He said, well, I'm not making much progress in my Christian walk, but I'm well established.

Until one spring day, he was hauling some logs in his wagon, and the wheels sank all the way to the axle in mud.

And try as he would, he could not get the wagon out. He was stuck. So he's defeated and sitting on top of the logs viewing the dismal condition situation he's in. One of his neighbors who never liked his won-out testimony came out to see him and said, now, Brother Jones, I see that you are not making

much progress, but you must be contented because you sure are established.

I think that Jones's experience and testimony speak for the vast majority of Christians in America.

Their salvation may be established, but they're stuck and unproductive.

They know the Lord, but they're not going anywhere with him.

And I'm convinced in my own heart, if we ever are able to peek into Satan's goal-sitting program,

I believe he has a book in which he sets goals for every one of us.

And he sets his minions, as we have been seeing, to accomplish that goal.

But if we're able to peek into his goal-setting program, I'm convinced that the number

one goal for every Christian is to keep them from growing in faith, is to keep them from being

productive believers, is to keep them from comprehending, understanding, and applying the Word of God

in their daily life, keeping them in the murky,

shallow waters of mediocrity, to keep them focusing on their problem, on their hurt, on their

pain, on their worries, on their little kingdom, so that they will never be productive for the

kingdom of God. Today, as we continue exposing the enemy and his method of operation,

I want to focus on what really makes Satan thrive among believers.
